Network Artists North East
Window on Battle Hill (previously Johnson's Cleaners)
Once again many thanks to Youngs RPS Chartered Surveyors & Property Consultants of Hexham. Without their unstinting help and liaising with the landlord, Hexham Spaces would have been Windowless!! An update of our Hexham Spaces posters has been admired and we hope too that it gives a fuller picture of our aims for Hexham town centre.

On a gloomy, chilly, rainy Sunday morning a 'gang' from Network Artists North East descended on the empty Johnson's shop on Battle Hill. There was an immediate hustle and bustle inside and outside the shop. With energetic cooperation (and a little sustenance) the window display gradually took shape. The gathered animated onlookers outside the shop were delighted with the treats within. Thank you to network Artists North East for transforming an empty space in Hexham into a lovely display for everyones benefit.

About Network Artist - Hexham Hub
Network Artists was established in 1992 as an independent association of artists living and working in Northumberland.
It’s aim is to provide a service to artists individually and collectively through networking and a programme of opportunities and events to aid and further their practice. It promotes economic growth in the artistic community. Network has a membership of approximately 150 artists who represent a wide range of disciplines. It is an inclusive organisation, welcoming all artists wherever they are on their creative journey. Because of the geographical spread and size of the association, it has spawned small groups within it to maintain its community activity and meaning. Hexham Hub is one of these small groups. We meet regularly and support each other in putting on events and sharing opportunities.
Hexham Hub would like to thank Hexham Spaces for the opportunity they have given us to display our work in the Johnson’s shop window in Hexham and bring our association to the notice of the public. Patricia Graham and her team have provided us with a wonderful opportunity at “street level”. We very much appreciate this as our group has found it difficult to find spaces to show our work in the town. Many Thanks Patricia.
